Madison Gateman is an Associate Lawyer at Green and Spiegel LLP in Toronto, where she practices across all areas of Canadian immigration law. Her practice includes strategic immigration planning, cross-border mobility, complex litigation, and the full spectrum of temporary and permanent immigration pathways for individuals and businesses.
Madison advises corporate and individual clients on a broad range of immigration matters, including business visitor entries, work permits and exemptions, study permits, temporary resident visas, electronic travel authorizations, and pathways to permanent residence and Canadian citizenship. She regularly leverages international free trade agreements to facilitate efficient cross-border mobility for businesses and skilled professionals. She also assists individual clients with a wide array of personal immigration matters, including family sponsorships, permanent resident card renewals, citizenship applications, authorization to return to Canada (ARC) applications, and humanitarian and compassionate applications.
Madison regularly represents clients before all levels of court and tribunal, including the Federal Court, provincial courts, and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Her litigation practice includes judicial reviews of government decisions, admissibility hearings, sponsorship and residency appeals, cessation matters, removal order appeals, mandamus applications for delayed processing, and stays of removal. Madison has developed expertise in complex cases involving admissibility and security issues. She also prepares legal opinions, responds to procedural fairness letters, and assists clients with applications for rehabilitation, temporary resident permits, and ministerial relief.
Madison is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.
